Learn how to make Batik
3-days course. What is Batik? Batik is technique to dye fabric. Wax is used to make design, picture, ornament. Wax is controlling how fabric color called dye is spreading on fabric. I'm teaching technique learned from different parts of Jawa Indonesia and Malaysia. On Course, we are using artistic painting technique for adding the fiber reactive batik dye colors, with wax to create wearable washable textile. Basic introduction about course content and techniques.
Design making.
DAY 2 (Saturday)
Learning waxing technique and making wax design.
Learning coloring techniques and making first layer of dye.
DAY 3 (Sunday)
Painting second layer of color.
Final processing.
DAY 4 (homework)
Washing away wax and fixative.
Can do at home or at our studio.
